# July WASDE forecasts higher milk yield per cow, rising cow numbers | Ag Proud

> USDA's July WASDE raised 2025 and 2026 US milk production forecasts by 500 million pounds to 228.3 billion for 2025, on higher cow numbers and milk per cow. The Class III price forecast for 2025 was lowered to $18.50/cwt, while the Class IV forecast rose to $19.05/cwt.

## Why it matters
