> Statistics Canada put 2025 Canadian barley area at 6.136 million acres, 4.2% lower year on year and the smallest since 2017. Production is still expected near 8.1 million tonnes, but strong exports to China and domestic feed demand will tighten supplies. The IGC forecasts 2025/26 Canadian ending stocks at only 500,000 tonnes.
