> Irish oat area increased by about 3,800 hectares from 2024, with almost 17,800 hectares of winter oats and 15,800 hectares of spring oats planted in 2025. Growing demand from porridge, oat drinks and flour markets is supporting interest in the crop. Several new varieties are in trials.
