# Ruling allows CPKC grain shipments using UP rail | World Grain

> The US Surface Transportation Board confirmed in a decision issued July 7 that CPKC can use 1988 Kansas City Southern haulage rights over Union Pacific to reach the Port of Houston. The rights cover grain of any origin on CPKC's network, including legacy CP lines in the Northern Plains.
