# STB backs CPKC in grain export dispute with Union Pacific - Trains

> The US Surface Transportation Board ruled on July 7, 2025 that Canadian Pacific Kansas City can use Kansas City Southern haulage rights over Union Pacific track to move Midwestern grain to Houston and Galveston. The decision rejected UP's effort to block CPKC grain shipments on that route.
