# Australia's crop outlook improves after soaking rainfall | The Land | NSW

> Soaking rains fell across most of Australia's cropping regions in late July, with the heaviest falls of 30 to 45 millimetres in the driest parts of South Australia and Victoria. New crop wheat bids fell by $10 to $15 a tonne as farmers sold ahead of the rain, leaving NSW bids at $330 to $335 a tonne port.
