# IGC sees corn output spiking on increased US production | World Grain

> The International Grains Council raised its 2025-26 world maize production forecast by 23 million tonnes month on month to a record 1.299 billion tonnes, mainly on higher US acreage and yield. It also projects record world wheat output of 811 million tonnes and a record soybean crop of 430 million tonnes, with a slightly reduced US soybean outlook. Total grains consumption is expected to reach a record 2.391 billion tonnes.
