# India’s oilmeal exports drop 12% in August as soybean meal shipments slip  - The HinduBusinessLine

> India exported 2.76 lakh tonnes of oilmeal in August 2025, down 12.1% from a year earlier, with soybean meal shipments falling to 80,233 tonnes from 1.56 lakh tonnes. Year-to-date oilmeal exports fell 4%. The Solvent Extractors' Association attributed the decline to lower soybean meal prices in India and competition from cheaper South and North American supply.
