# Australia’s winter crops forecast surges | World Grain

> ABARES forecasts Australia's 2025-26 winter crop at 62 million tonnes, up 2% year on year and 12% above the June forecast. Wheat is seen slipping 1% to 33.8Mt, still the fourth-largest on record, while barley is projected to rise 10% to 14.6Mt, the second-largest ever. Canola is forecast at 6.4Mt.
