# Deforestation for soy continues in Brazilian Cerrado despite EUDR looming

> An investigation by Earthsight found that two Brazilian Cerrado producers, Mizote Group and Franciosi Agro, cleared 986 hectares since May 2024, including forested areas. The report says soy from these producers would not be compliant with the EU deforestation regulation. The Cerrado lost more than 652,000 hectares of native vegetation in 2024.
