# EU backs another one-year delay for EUDR antideforestation law

> On November 26 the European Parliament voted 402 to 250 for an amendment that delays the EUDR to December 30, 2026, with a grace period for small businesses to June 30, 2027. The amendment also removes printed books and newspapers from scope and exempts some small low-risk operators. The amendment still needs ratification.
