# EU deforestation regulation forces companies to act - KPMG-Law

> The European Parliament voted on November 26, 2025 to postpone the EU Deforestation Regulation's effective date to December 30, 2026. Small and micro enterprises would have until June 30, 2027. Final decisions on the postponement and substantive amendments are still pending.
