# Wheat continues to rise - export demand supports US

> US wheat futures rose on Thursday, with Chicago SRW up about 5.5 cents and Kansas City HRW up 4.75 cents, supported by a USDA weekly export report showing 558,201 tons shipped in the week ending January 22, about 22% above last year. Japan, Mexico and Nigeria were the largest buyers. Euronext March wheat gained to €191.25/t.
