# Fair outlook despite water stress  - Joint Research Centre

> The EU Joint Research Centre's May MARS bulletin says crop conditions across Europe remain generally favourable, with winter crops developing well. Yield forecasts were slightly reduced for April rainfall deficits in central, eastern and northern Europe and late frosts affecting rapeseed, but remain largely in line with or above the five-year average.
