# Soy demand rises to meet large crop

> USDA's August 2026 report raised the new-crop soybean crush estimate by about 30 million bushels to 2.78 billion, and raised 2025-26 crush by 5 million bushels to 2.655 billion. Nearby September soybeans rose 13.75 cents to $11.65 per bushel, and September soybean oil gained more than half a cent to 69.16 cents per pound.
