## Why it matters

Expectations of higher-for-longer rates in Colombia and the US are attracting carry flows into the peso, which lowers the cost of dollar-priced feed imports for Colombian buyers. A firmer peso reduces local import costs for feed ingredients, though the effect on global feed prices is small.
