# Grain Transportation Report, February 10, 2022

> USDA's Grain Transportation Report examines grain-export transportation demand. A total of 138.3 million metric tons of U.S. grain was inspected for export in 2021, 7 percent less than in 2020 and 2 percent less than in 2016. Demand for barge, rail and ocean vessel capacity has recovered since the 2019 trade war and extreme weather.
