# Bill seeks to strengthen US foreign animal disease response | American Veterinary Medical Association

> A bipartisan group of US lawmakers introduced the Foreign Animal Disease Prevention, Surveillance, and Rapid Response Act of 2023 (H.R. 3419/S. 1666) on May 19. The bill would reauthorize and increase funding for USDA's NADPRP to $70 million, the NAVVCB to $150 million, and NAHLN to $45 million.
