# Following the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) and African swine fever (ASF) in Je.. - MK

> South Korea confirmed its first African swine fever case in Jeollanam-do at a farm in Yeonggwang-gun, where 21,000 pigs were preemptively culled. Nationwide, 59 ASF outbreaks had occurred on domestic farms by the 27th, plus 4,326 wild boar cases. Highly pathogenic avian influenza is also active in the province.
