# Malaysia's palm oil-based biodiesel push to add 300,000 tpy in demand

> The Malaysian Palm Oil Board estimates that raising Malaysia's biodiesel mandate to B15 will add more than 300,000 metric tons of annual palm oil demand. The B12 step alone adds about 130,000 tons, and B15 adds about 204,000 tons. The rollout will use existing blending plants.
