# Wet Weather Slows Soy Harvest in State of Tocantins in North Brazil 25.02.2022 - UkrAgroConsult

> Persistent heavy rain has slowed the soybean harvest in Tocantins, with only 20% harvested in the south and west versus 60% statewide. Grain elevators have cut intake due to limited drying capacity, and rural roads are impassable. Soybean quality is lower, and yield estimates may be revised down.

## Why it matters

Lower quality and delayed deliveries reduce near-term soybean availability in northern Brazil and may trim yields. This modestly supports soybean prices and adds logistics pressure on exports.
