# Corn Acreage in South America: Stable in Brazil, Sharp Decline in Argentina - farmdoc daily

> farmdoc daily projects Brazil's 2024/25 corn crop at 4,717 million bushels, up 3.6%, with acreage stable at about 52 million acres. Argentina expects its largest relative acreage drop in 17 years due to corn stunt disease, though its exports are projected to rise to their highest since 2020/21.
