# Fertilizer prices expected to stay high over the remainder of 2021

> The World Bank projects fertilizer prices will average more than a quarter higher in 2021 than in 2020 before easing in 2022. Phosphate and urea prices soared on strong demand and higher input costs such as sulfur, ammonia and natural gas. Potash prices remained broadly stable.
