# Russia: sales restraint of farmers leads to rising

> Russian wheat export prices rose last week as farmers held back sales amid strong importer demand and a stronger ruble. Black Sea 12.5% protein wheat rose $2 to $191 per tonne FOB per IKAR and $4.50 to $194.50 per SovEcon, while barley rose $2 to $187. Russia's grain exports reached 11.7 Mt in the 2017/18 season to date, up 24% year on year.
