> Vietnamese rice exports started 2018 strongly, with Indonesia approving imports of 500,000 tonnes from Thailand and Vietnam and the Philippines agreeing to buy 250,000 tonnes. Average FOB prices rose to US$400 a tonne from US$390-395 after one month, and dried and material rice prices rose by VND350 a kg.
