Great Harvest Bread

We LOVE great bread. We love everything about it -- the smell, the simple pleasure of kneading it by hand, the texture and awesome taste when it's oven fresh, and the romance of slicing it by hand. Before the sun rises, we arrive at our bakery. We mill the wheat kernels into fresh whole-grain flour, warm the ovens, knead the dough, and our baking begins. The aroma of handmade cinnamon rolls, cookies, teacakes, sandwich breads, and specialty loaves, all made from scratch, fills the air. Our passion for phenomenal baked goods is the reason for everything we do. We specialize in whole wheat breads made from carefully selected high protein grain that we grind fresh daily on a stone mill at the bakery. We also bake delicious white bread made from the finest ingredients, plus breads made with fruit, cheese, nuts and seeds. Established in 2010. We opened our doors in April of 2010 after three years of soul-searching, prayer, hope, fear, location-searching and training. We settled in Old Town Warrenton after falling in love with this wonderful Town with so much Character and Hope. We chose the quiet end of town, at the intersection of Fifth St. and Main St. in hopes of making it less quiet. We are grateful for the commotion and smiles in and around our bakery every day now! While whiling away the last 25 years managing small businesses for others, we (Lynda and I) dreamed of our own. We wanted to develop a thriving business that fully engages the community, provides a wholesome, tangible product, encourages innovation and growth in personal character, gives generously, and maintains a high level of positive emotional energy along with a stimulating intellectual challenge. The good news is that our bakery is helping us to realize all of these early goals and more!
