Asian spot LNG prices held above $4 per mmBtu for the week as Hurricane Laura delayed US cargo loadings. Cheniere's Sabine Pass and Sempra's Cameron LNG plants in Louisiana had suspended operations and were expected to be the last Gulf terminals to restart.
Several buyers in Asia were reported to have secured cargoes at $3.60 to $3.90.
Storm-driven export outages cut US LNG flows and support global gas prices, which affects the cost of gas-based fertilizer. The disruption is temporary and tied to the storm rather than a lasting supply change.
