China yuan hits 3-year high despite PBOC signalling discomfort over gains

China's yuan reached its highest level against the dollar in more than three years on Friday, even as the central bank set a weaker-than-expected fixing. Reuters reports the PBOC is showing discomfort with the pace of gains.
