Russia says that lifting food and fertilizer sanctions must be part of any Black Sea shipping deal. Russia is expected to ship about 40 million tonnes of wheat this season, mainly to Middle East buyers such as Egypt.
Moscow also aims to raise its overall agricultural exports by 50% by 2030.
Whether sanctions are eased determines how much Russian wheat and fertilizer can reach world markets, which affects wheat supply and fertilizer costs for feed producers. For now the outcome is uncertain, so prices are unchanged.
