Welcome to JISTAWI POULTRY, an initiative by PETHAVEN FOUNDATION. We are a faith-based, non-political organization dedicated to transforming smallholder poultry farming in Kenya. Our mission is to empower rural youth and women through sustainable poultry farming practices and innovative technology, contributing to SDG 2: Zero Hunger.

Our Vision is to produce highly nutritious and affordable organic poultry products for everyone, enhancing livelihoods and promoting environmental sustainability.

What We Do Empowering Farmers: Training, resources, and support for rural and peri-urban youth and women to become successful poultry entrepreneurs. Innovative Poultry Feed: Development of a novel feed premix that optimizes nutrition and reduces production costs, incorporating black soldier fly (BSF) larvae for enhanced protein content. Sustainable Practices: Promotion of environmentally friendly poultry farming techniques, including free-range and organic practices. Community Engagement: Collaboration with Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Women and Youth Self-Help Groups, and Individual Farmers to build strong community ties and drive market penetration.

Products and Services Organic Poultry Products: High-quality, nutritious poultry products that are affordable and accessible to all. Poultry Feed Solutions: Scientifically formulated feed premixes designed to improve poultry health and productivity while being cost-effective. Training and Support: Comprehensive training programs on sustainable poultry farming practices, tailored to the needs of smallholder farmers. Infrastructure and Learning Hubs: JISTAWI Learning Hubs in Webuye, that serve as demonstration farms and knowledge exchange centers, equipped with facilities for insect farming, feed storage, and poultry care.
