Ukraine's Sea Ports Authority head Raivis Veckagans said at the Grain Ukraine conference on July 7 that the government is backing five marine infrastructure projects to expand grain export capacity. Memorandums include Cargill at Yuzhny port and planned deals with SCM Group and Bunge.
Expanded Ukrainian port grain capacity over the longer term could lower export logistics costs and increase competition in Black Sea wheat and corn shipments, but has no immediate price impact.
