The EIA reported that the US exported nearly 1.4 billion gallons of fuel ethanol in 2017, a record above the 2011 high of 1.2 billion gallons. Brazil and Canada took more than half of exports, and the US was a net ethanol exporter for an eighth straight year.
Sustained record exports underpin domestic corn demand through ethanol and DDGS output, supporting corn and DDGS fundamentals, though the data is backward-looking.
