Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's February estimates lowered Canadian principal field crop ending stocks by 68,000 mt to 14.277 million mt. Oats ending stocks were cut 50,000 mt to 600,000 mt, the lowest in six years, due to rapid exports and higher domestic use.
Very tight Canadian oat stocks, at about 16.5% of disappearance versus a 25% five-year average, support oat prices and reduce export availability for feed buyers.
