China's Ministry of Commerce said it will keep anti-dumping duties of 42.2%-53.7% and anti-subsidy tariffs of 11.2%-12% on U.S. distillers grains (DDGS) after closing a review opened in April. The ministry argued that removing the duties could let large volumes of U.S. DDGS re-enter the Chinese market and harm domestic producers.
The retained tariffs keep U.S. DDGS priced out of China, one of the key export outlets, so more product stays in the domestic market and weighs on U.S. DDGS values. Feed buyers may see continued pressure on DDGS prices relative to corn.
