Paterson Global Foods announced the construction of O Foods Ltd., an oat processing facility in northwest Winnipeg. The plant will process up to 250,000 metric tonnes of raw oats a year from western Canadian farmers and produce high-health oat products.
The new mill adds a regional buyer for milling oats, which can support local oat demand and prices.
