Labour shortage and scarcity of containers at ports hit India’s rice exports - DST

Labour shortages and container scarcity at Indian ports are delaying rice shipments to Africa and the Gulf. Trucks are reportedly waiting at Deendayal and Mundra for at least seven days, and about 300,000 tonnes of basmati is stuck at Iranian ports over payment issues.
