Brazil: drought severely impacted safrinha corn in Northern Parana

Corn farmers in northern Paraná face losses of 50% to 60% on the safrinha crop, and up to 80% to 100% in the driest areas, after a 90-day dry spell in Maringá. The crop was planted late and the rainy season ended early, and frost could cause further losses before the harvest starting in mid-July.
