Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 was published, postponing EUDR application to 30 December 2026 for large operators and 30 June 2027 for micro and small enterprises. It also differentiates between operators and downstream operators.
Micro and small undertakings are defined by balance sheet, turnover and employee thresholds.
The postponement and split of obligations reduces near-term compliance costs for many upstream and downstream actors handling soy and palm oil. Market prices are unlikely to shift much, but the timeline now runs into late 2026.
