The Iowa Soybean Association sent comments to EPA urging full reallocation of volumes exempted under small refinery exemptions into the 2026-2027 Renewable Fuel Standard obligations. The group argues that without full reallocation, RIN demand destruction will hurt biodiesel demand for soybeans.
Full reallocation would raise biomass-based diesel demand and support soybean oil and soybean prices, so the outcome of the EPA rulemaking matters for crush and oil values.
