# Almarai Unveils 2026–2031 Growth Strategy with Over USD 4 Billion Investment

*Saudi dairy giant Almarai has presented its 2026–2031 growth strategy at its Capital Markets Day, outlining a USD 4 billion-plus investment programme focused on four priorities: strengthening core dairy and food categories, selective expansion into new categories, growth in foodservice and e-commerce channels, and expansion in priority markets across MENA and beyond.*

Almarai Company, described as the world's largest vertically integrated dairy company and the largest food and beverage manufacturer and distributor in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has unveiled a five-year growth strategy covering 2026 to 2031, presenting the plan to investors and the business community at its Capital Markets Day 2026.

The strategy is underpinned by a planned investment programme of more than USD 4 billion over the period, targeting capacity expansion, stronger operational capabilities, and what the company describes as a foundation for sustainable growth.

## Four Strategic Priorities

Almarai's plan is structured around four core priorities. The first is to reinforce its leadership in established product categories, including dairy, building on its vertically integrated operating model, distribution network, and brand portfolio.

The second priority involves selective expansion into new product categories where the company believes its manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution capabilities can provide a competitive advantage. The company said it intends to assess opportunities carefully rather than pursue expansion indiscriminately.

Third, Almarai plans to strengthen its presence in foodservice and e-commerce channels, citing the foodservice sector — supplying restaurants, hospitality businesses, and catering operations — and the growth of digital purchasing as key opportunities to reach additional customers.

The fourth priority is expansion in selected priority markets, with the company stating that market choices will be guided by consumer demand, competitive conditions, and its ability to serve customers effectively using its existing manufacturing and distribution infrastructure.

## CEO Statement

Chief Executive Officer Fawaz Aljasser commented on the strategy at the Capital Markets Day event. "Our new growth strategy is supported by our trusted brands, industry-leading capabilities, and one of the region's most integrated food and beverage platforms. Today, we are entering the next phase of our journey from a position of strength," he said.

Aljasser added that the company's objectives extend beyond financial performance. "We believe that Almarai's combination of trusted brands, operational excellence, scale, and resilience positions us well to capture the significant opportunities while continuing to deliver the quality and value that consumers expect," he said.

## Relevance to Feed and Agri-Food Supply Chains

As the largest vertically integrated dairy operation in the region, Almarai's planned capacity expansion and investment programme has implications for animal feed demand in MENA. The company's integrated model encompasses livestock production, requiring substantial and sustained feed ingredient procurement across the Gulf and wider region. A multi-billion dollar investment in production capacity over five years would typically correspond with growth in on-farm animal numbers and associated feed volumes.
